CUCET 2022 (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) has been taking place for various universities that come under the Ministry of Education, but this year it was announced for Delhi University on 17 December 2021 by Yogesh Singh, the vice-chancellor of Delhi University, that CUCET 2022 will open the doors to all 54 Central universities all over the country including Delhi University. It will be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) to admit students into undergraduate courses offered by Delhi University. According to reports, the university will consider 50% merit and 50% CUCET 2022 exam result to admit students into colleges.
CUCET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Firstly, the students should check whether they are eligible for the exam or not. The eligibility criteria of CUCET 2022 for undergraduate admissions will be
- Candidates should have completed their class 12th with at least 50% marks.
- There will be a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST applicants.
CUCET 2022 Exam Pattern
Candidates preparing for CUCET 2022 should thoroughly understand the exam pattern before preparing for the exam and making a strategy for themselves. The exam is expected to be a CBT (Computer Based Test) consisting of 100 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions). The exam will take place for 2 hours or 120 minutes. It will be taken in English only.
There are expected to be two sections in CUCET 2022 Exam Pattern: Section A and Section B.
Section A will be of 25 questions that will test the candidate’s General Ability; it will have questions from topics like General Knowledge, English, Numerical Aptitude, Analytical Skills, Data Interpretation, and Logical Reasoning. This section requires the candidate to apply their logic and knowledge while answering the questions. If attempted correctly, this section can be the most scoring one.
Section B will be of 75 questions that will test the student’s subject knowledge. The subjects from which the questions may come are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. 25 questions from each subject will be there, and the candidates will be asked to attempt questions from any three subjects and attempt 75 questions in total from section B. Candidates should thoroughly go through their stream subjects to prepare for this section.
